Since 2013 donnelly fresh farms has been furthering our mission of providing a consistent supply of local produce to our customers and it continues to grow from strength to strength. We’re now proud to be one of the largest veg growers in Ireland. Growing cauliflower, cabbage, pumpkins and spinach. We also continuously trial new crops to explore how we can expand our offering even further.

Our commitment to continuous improvement means we are regularly improving crop quality and yield and seeking leaner ways of working. Under the watchful eye of our highly skilled Agronomist, our farms consistently trial more sustainable farming methods. We have witnessed firsthand the extensive benefits they have made on farm efficiency.

what we grow

donnelly fresh farms span a land bank of 1,000 acres, growing a variety of Ireland’s favourite veg. We’re now the largest independent grower of cauliflower, cabbage and pumpkins. Our crops have also expanded into baby leaf spinach and cereals including wheat and barley. We also carry out an annual NPD programme where we trial new crops, new varieties and new methods.

Finding newer, more sustainable ways to farm and work the land is a serious passion of ours. Having our own farms means we’re fully in control of the methods used to grow our crops. Science has progressed leaps and bounds over the last few decades. New farming techniques have emerged as a result.

Our expert Agronomist is constantly adopting progressive, lower impact farming methods. This is just one example of all the many ways we are working to reduce our environmental impact across every part of our business.
